A Nice End

The worst day of your life is sometimes turned around by discovering a smiley face in your queso. :)

A lot of people…

…think that love is just being with someone. That it is having fun and kisses and holding hands, etc, etc, etc.

Ok, that’s the basics, sure. But love is so much more than that. It’s about the little things. It’s about having arguments. That’s right, I said it…arguments. But the arguments that you know that, even if you’re mad at them, you both still love each other and that after everything is done and over with it will be back to normal.

It’s doing little things for each other. Not because it’s nice…but because you want to. It’s being able to go through life meeting new people and doing new things and knowing that you couldn’t be or do anything without them.

Ok, sappy rambling. Sorry.

Here’s an example:

Daisies are popping up EVERYWHERE (mostly on the sides of the roads) and I absolutely love daisies. So Ronny stops and picks me a few. What a sweetie. THOSE are the little things that let me know he loves me. :)

May 13, 2008

I haven’t had time to update the past week because of some personal things going on…but earlier this week I forc…I mean, politely asked and Ronny politely obliged (*curtsy*) to take a couple of shots with me.

I wanted to sit in the sun on Tuesday. I never thought you could crave the sun…but I’m pretty sure that was what my body was doing. We were running errands (or something – I have a horrible memory for the smaller details) and so by the time we were back at my house the trees in my front and back yard had blocked out the sun. I did, however, happen to find a patch of sun that I could sit in for about 5 minutes. Ronny sat with me and we just…sat. It was nice.

I really hope to have more days like that this summer (with more or less sunshine). :)

Pwnd…

Have you ever seen a photo in your head and were so excited about it,  but once you started trying to shoot it it just doesn’t come out the way you picture it at all?

So I went outside today to do just that. It was all perfect in my head…a wonderful photo. But I started trying take the photo and the focus just wasn’t working for me and I couldn’t stand in the right place or just…pretty much anything that could happen did. :)

I always have trouble with self-portraits. They all end up looking borderline Myspace photo. But since I’m pretty much the only model I have I just have to keep working at it I suppose!

But here’s some of the shots to show how my day went:

This was me trying to focus in on myself and it accidentally shot:

And me standing too close to the camera:

Getting a little better:

Ok, so I’m convinced I’m a terrible judge of distance (this one actually came out decent, but it’s still a bit out of focus – you can see it in the bigger version):

And, where I finally just got fed up and starting taking photos of the apple, lol:

I did happen to get one good photo (to me, at least) out of it. I think I’ll add it to my 365 project:

Well, there’s always tomorrow! :)

Ever Feel Like…

…you’re just not where you’re supposed to be in life?

Like you’re meant to do something…but you’ve veered and now you’re stuck in a ditch?

How do you get back on track? How do you fix things?

Pray for me please.

I am currently working on making a "real" photography site...so keep a look-out on updates for that.

Thanks so much to everyone for their support. I couldn't be anything without you ♥
