Ah! I’m gone for a month (or was it 2?), and I come back and everything has changed! Lol. Oh well, I think I kind of like it. Anyways, sorry for the lack of posts…school and work and the holidays (Really, who decided that all these holidays should be smooshed together?) I just haven’t had time. But, I’m finished with this semester (All A’s and B’s!), and the Holidays are almost over…so I’m trying to catch up on everything I’ve been wanting to do (organization, photography, scrapbooking, crafts, reading, etc etc etc…). Anyways, I took a few shots of the frost and such early one morning about a week ago:

I AM NOT DEAD!

School is ridiculous. I think I should be able to teach without having a degree. I can handle it . Anyways, that’s what is taking up my time nowadays. It really drains the inspiration right out of you. I’ve been contemplating deleting both my deviantart and my flickr, but I just couldn’t make myself do it. I may end up deleting my deviantart (simply because I’m not ever on there), but I know too many people on flickr and am so inspired everytime I log in that I just couldn’t do it!

But I digress…

My boyfriend and I went to Carter’s Lake this weekend (Google it, then GO TO IT – it’s a photographer’s paradise )

I am officially claiming a part of it as Ashley-territory. It is the only place I’ve ever felt so alive and inspired. I could sit out there forever. It’s my favorite place to think and explore.

I climb out of this spiderweb of a life and find my way back to the Light.

I’m tired of living for nothing and feeling empty and worthless.

Pray that I will be able to defeat satan and his temptations, and become strong again to do God’s will.

It’s truly amazing how fragile we all are.

We all hold our heads up high…and expect others to do the same. We have no idea how hard that is unless we have to try it.

We always look at things like this and see how fragile a butterfly is…but what we do not notice is how similar we all are to that butterfly.

Our wings fall off sometimes (or they’re even yanked off) or they are damaged and it gets hard to fly sometimes…we give up hope and let it all just go down the drain.

Luckily we have a God who will repair those wings…if you just let Him.

When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned, nor shall the flame scorch you.

I’m just trying to adjust to my class and work schedules (and of course, my life in general, lol). I promise I’ll make more time for photos and blogs and such. They do make me happy

Meet Bowry!

We got him a few days ago…he’s way to cute. A little hyper (I end up doing laps in our yard with him all the time, haha).  I haven’t had much time to play with him…but he’s already learning so quick (let’s just hope he potty trains this quick! lol)

Anyways, just thought you would like to see the cutest puppy in the world! lol

That’s exactly how I’ve felt for the past few weeks. I haven’t had much time for anything anymore. But the funny thing is…I haven’t really been all that busy. I think it’s just all pent-up stress and it’s making me tired and a bit irritable at times. I wish I wasn’t like that but I try to push things to the side until the last possible moment then they rear their ugly heads, all at once.

But wow. Yesterday morning I went to breakfast with Ronny (I go every other Sunday morning when he works) and I had to take back some movies (Blockbuster really should put their late fees back on – it’s making me not want to go drop their movies off…I’m such a procrastinator ) and I happened to drive back a back way home. I always pass by this little field (it’s right down the road from my house) but every time there’s a gorgeous picture to be taken I forgot my camera. Not this time. It was a Sunday morning and I it was too late to start getting ready for Church so I raced home and grabbed my camera and came back to take a few shots. Needless to say I’m forgetful and lost my lenscap on the side of the road because I forgot to get from the back of my car. But, it’s almost worth it to get this shot:

It really does have a calming effect. I’m so glad I get that kind of calm from just taking photos. It’s just such a great creative outlet.
